Do I need a doctor's order?
Yes, just bring an order from your doctor. However, some labs are available without an outside doctor's order.

Yes, an appointment is needed.

Will insurance pay for my tests?
Self-Pay payment is required at the time of service. Medicaid and Insurance are NOT accepted. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, cash, and personal checks.
4.
How and when will I receive test results?
All lab test results are sent back to the ordering medical provider, or individual (where a doctor's order wasn't needed) within one week. You will be given instructions at the time the labs are drawn.
5.
Who should I call if I have questions about my results?
Please call the medical provider who ordered the tests. ICHD does not interpret test results, diagnose, or treat.
6.
Do you draw samples for mail-in test kits?
No, we only draw samples for testing at ICHD or for our affiliated reference laboratory.
7.
Does the lab do paternity testing?
No, the lab does not do paternity testing.
8.
Does the lab do blood typing (excluding prenatal)?
No, this test is not done at the health department
